Mr Edwards studio visit

Last week my friend Neil (better known as Mr Edwards) traded Sydney's sunny skies for a visit to the UK. I took the opportunity to invite him to collaborate on some print editions with me. We started by transforming his most renowned work, Art is Shit, a pop art print inspired by 'Artist's Shit', Piero Manzoni, (1961), into some cool 150x150mm mini prints. We then added some striking black glitter pieces to the collection. To top it all off, I created an exclusive one-of-a-kind gold leaf piece, which is currently being framed.

For those unfamiliar, Mr. Edwards was born in London and relocated to Sydney, Australia, in 2010. He primarily works with silkscreen, stencil, and digital mediums.

In his own words ..
"I am a voracious collector of found images. I recycle these images by taking them out of context and combining them with other images or text, or altering them in some way. This creates new meanings that neither I nor the viewer fully understands. I'm interested in how the same image will be interpreted differently by people based on their personal experiences.

I work mainly with techniques of mass-producing images by hand, such as screen printing and stencils. I'm fascinated by the imperfections and mistakes that occur during these processes, which bring energy and individuality to mass-produced, static images."
