Putin the Pig - the Ukrainian charity print
Last week we released a special limited edition A5 print in aid of the situation in the Ukraine. The edition of 50 prints called Putin the Pig sold out online in under an hour. All sales from the prints have been donated to the British Red Cross for the Ukrainian Crisis Appeal.
The artwork was inspired by an original piece created for Penguin Books. The piece features a twist on the artwork for Heath's book cover of Animal Farm. Putin the Pig is subversive and gives a not-so-subtle nod to a dystopian future that is now sadly very much part of our present. The Ukrainian text reads: Pig Go Home. The print aesthetically ties together the themes of conflict and duality, in allyship with the Ukraine.
As demand for this special limited edition print has been so high, we are partnering with UK Art-Tech platform Art Charity Raffles, to donate a new print entitled Bloody Putin. Bloody Putin will be an A3 print and is released this week. The Ukrainian text on the print reads: liar, thief, murderer. These prints will be raffled by the charity from March 7th through to March 18th. Raffle tickets costing £5.00 each can be purchased through Art Charity Raffles online. All proceeds will be donated to the British Red Cross for the Ukrainian Crisis Appeal. Other contemporary artists, including John Pedder and Jelly Green are also working with Art Charity Raffles and will be raffling their own pieces for the same cause.
